Chapter 7 - The Unveiling

The boardroom meeting was the climax of the conflict. The men who had tried to threaten him were there, confident and smiling. They had the votes, they had the leverage, and they thought they had the victory.
Ethan walked into the room, his suit sharp, his posture calm. He sat at the head of the table and opened his own folder.
"Gentlemen," he said. "Before we begin, I have a few things to share."
He didn't just share reports. He shared evidence. Evidence of their own corruption, their own illegal dealings, and their own vulnerability. He had spent the last two days stripping their armor just as they had tried to strip his.
The room went silent. The smiles faded. The shark-like man from the study looked like he had seen a ghost.
"You wanted to know about my legacy?" Ethan asked, his voice steady. "My legacy isn't the company. It’s the strength of the people I stand with. And you made a mistake. You thought you could threaten my life by targeting the people I care about. You didn't realize that that only made me stronger."
