Chapter 9 - The New Era

The official sentencing hearing took place on a bitter, ice-cold Tuesday morning in downtown Chicago.
The federal courtroom was packed to capacity with journalists, financial analysts, and corporate observers eager to witness the final chapter of the Sterling International scandal. I turned my head away, stood up smoothly, and walked out of the courtroom into the bright, blinding winter sunlight.
