A month later.
The large front room of the Coyoacán estate, which had once been a dark, formal sitting room used only for Aurelio’s business dinners, had been completely transformed.
The walls were painted a bright, clean white. Large wooden desks sat beneath the high windows, covered in blueprints, financial ledgers, and modern laptops.
A brass plaque hung beside the front door: Vega Consulting & Forensic Auditing.
Valeria stood in the center of the room, looking at her new team of young, brilliant female auditors she had hired to help women protect their assets and businesses from predatory partners.

"We have our first major case, Valeria," her lead analyst, Sofia, said, handing her a digital tablet. "A logistics firm in Monterrey. The husband is trying to hide his assets through a series of shell companies in Panama."
Valeria smiled, her eyes flashing with a familiar, sharp intelligence. "Tell her we’ll take the case. And tell her she doesn't have to worry about the signatures."
