Chapter 4 - The Shipyard Siege

The shipyard was a sprawling graveyard of rusted cranes and decaying hulls. Sebastian moved through the shadows with the grace of a predator who had spent his life navigating the dark. He left Vincent at the perimeter to cut the power and communications, ensuring that no reinforcements could be called.

He moved alone.

He found the security detail in the central warehouse. They weren't low-level thugs; they were mercenaries, professional and lethal. He took them down systematically, without hesitation. His movements were clinical, efficient, and devoid of mercy.

In the center of the warehouse, guarded by a man in a sharp grey suit—a man Sebastian recognized as a high-ranking official from the Marlowe Foundation—sat Leo.

The boy was tied to a chair, his eyes wide, holding a small toy soldier. He wasn't crying. He looked just like a Cole.

“So,” the man in the suit sneered, noticing the shadow shifting near the entrance. “The king has come to collect his prince.”

Sebastian stepped into the light. The aura he projected was so heavy, so devoid of human warmth, that even the mercenaries hesitated.

“Let him go,” Sebastian said. His voice wasn't loud, but it carried the authority of a judge passing a death sentence.

“And why should I?”

Sebastian’s hand didn't move toward his holster; he simply looked at the mercenary beside the man in the suit. The mercenary, recognizing the legend standing before him, slowly lowered his rifle and backed away.

“You’re an employee,” Sebastian said, closing the distance. “I’m a king. And this is my son.”

He moved with blinding speed. The official didn't even have time to reach for his sidearm before Sebastian had him pinned against the steel wall.
