Chapter 3 – Brothers Again

The weeks that followed were not easy.
Eli needed doctors, counselors, and time.
More than anything...
He needed home.
Noah never left his brother's side.
Every morning he carried Eli's favorite stuffed dinosaur into his room.
Every evening they built block towers together on the living-room rug.
One afternoon I overheard Noah whisper,
"I knew you'd come back."
Eli smiled.
"I knew you were looking."
The counselor later explained that healing rarely arrives all at once.
It grows through ordinary moments.
Shared breakfasts.
Bedtime stories.
Laughter returning one small piece at a time.
