Chapter 6 - The Collapse on Federal Street

The dismantling of Nolan Pierce’s life did not happen overnight; it happened with the agonizing, mechanical precision of a guillotine.

First came the lease termination notice on Federal Street.

Within forty-eight hours of Luca’s warning at the museum gala, three different commercial landlords—all tied directly to the Bellandi trust network—simultaneously revoked Nolan’s office leases across Boston. His firm was locked out of their servers before Monday morning opening bell.

Then came the financial audit.

The SEC, tipped off by an anonymous forensic accounting firm funded by the Bellandi trust, launched an immediate investigation into Nolan’s private equity fund. Investigators found irregular capital inflows originating from shell companies linked to Marco Moretti—the very Chicago caporegine who had recently been brought down by Victor Russo’s syndicate expansion into the East Coast.

Nolan’s primary investors panicked. Within two weeks, eighty-five percent of his capital assets were frozen pending federal review.
