Chapter 5 - A New Horizon in Marbella

The Mediterranean sun was setting, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of violet, gold, and deep crimson.

Back at the Marbella villa, the air smelled of salt water, blooming jasmine, and fresh pastries. The gates of the estate were wide open, welcoming friends, family, and trusted advisors who had gathered not for a grand society wedding, but for something far more precious—a celebration of peace and recovery.

In the center of the eastern garden, where Isabella had once been forced to drag heavy garbage bags through the mud, a brand-new wooden swing set stood proudly on the green grass.

Isabella, wearing a bright pink summer dress with her hands fully healed and free of bandages, soared through the air, laughing as the evening breeze caught her hair.

Alejandro stood by the edge of the lawn, holding a cup of espresso, watching her with a deep, unbreakable sense of peace.

Eleanor Rivers, who had flown in from Dallas two days earlier, walked up beside her son, resting a gentle hand on his arm.

“You did good, Alejandro,” Eleanor said softly, watching her granddaughter laugh. “The house feels like home again.”

“It took almost losing her to realize what really mattered, Mom,” Alejandro admitted, his voice thick with emotion. “I spent years building an empire of stone and glass, forgetting that the only structure that truly matters is the one we build with love.”

Isabella suddenly jumped off the swing, running across the grass straight toward them.

“Dad! Grandma! Come on! You have to see what Mrs. Gomez made!”

Alejandro smiled, setting his coffee down, and opened his arms wide. As Isabella launched herself into his embrace, he lifted her high into the air, spinning her around as she giggled with pure, unadulterated joy.

The nightmare was over. The shadows had been swept away by the truth. And in the warmth of their true home, Alejandro knew that no one would ever be allowed to cast a dark cloud over his daughter’s life again.
