The Fiancée Refused Food to a 3-Year-Old Girl… But the Cameras Revealed She Was Also Stealing From Hundreds of Families

PART 1

—You don’t eat here. Do you understand?

Renata Alcázar’s voice sounded calm, almost elegant, as she pulled a container filled with rice, chicken, and vegetables from the hands of a 3-year-old girl.

Camila didn’t scream. She simply hugged her little stuffed rabbit tightly against her chest and looked at her mother with watery eyes.

—Mommy… I’m hungry.

Teresa Mendoza felt something inside her break.

She had been working as a domestic worker for almost 2 years in that mansion in Bosques de las Lomas. She cleaned 14 rooms, organized clothes, prepared breakfasts, and kept floors spotless that were worth more than everything she had ever earned in her life.

Her salary paid for the small room she rented in Naucalpan, Camila’s medicine, and a debt her ex-husband had left behind before disappearing.

That was why she couldn’t quit.

—Mrs. Renata, that food came from my own home —Teresa said, trying to control her voice—. We’re not taking anything from here.

Renata placed the container on the marble counter and smiled.

—I don’t care where it came from. I don’t want cheap food smells in my kitchen.

Then she opened the trash can and threw everything away right in front of them.

Camila let out a quiet whimper.

Teresa took a step forward, but stopped herself. She remembered the overdue rent, the cough syrup she needed to buy, and the landlord’s message warning her that he couldn’t wait any longer.

Renata leaned toward the little girl.

—Listen carefully, sweetheart. This house isn’t for people like you. You don’t belong here.

Teresa took Camila’s hand and lowered her eyes.

Not because she agreed.

She lowered them because losing that job could mean both of them ending up on the street.

The owner of the mansion, Alejandro Ferrer, was rarely home. He had built a logistics company from nothing and constantly traveled between Monterrey, Querétaro, and Guadalajara.

With Teresa, he had always been respectful.

He knew every employee’s name, paid overtime, and allowed Camila to accompany her mother when there was no one else to look after her. He had even given her the stuffed rabbit after seeing her fall asleep on folded towels in the laundry room.

Everything changed when Renata, his fiancée, moved in 5 months earlier.

At first, she only made comments.

—How modern, darling. Now the staff comes with their families included.

Then she started demanding that Camila stay locked in the service area. Later, Teresa’s yogurts, fruit, and the small sandwiches she prepared before leaving home began disappearing.

Teresa suspected something, but she had no proof.

Renata always seemed untouchable: designer dresses, a well-known family in San Pedro Garza García, and a wedding planned to appear in magazines.

—I don’t want to see her in the main kitchen again —Renata ordered—. Next time, you’re both leaving.

Teresa hugged her daughter.

—Yes, ma’am.

That night, Camila went to sleep without dinner, holding onto her stuffed rabbit.

Teresa cried silently beside the window of their tiny room. She thought about reporting it, but who would believe her? Who would risk their job to defend a woman with no connections?

What neither of them knew was that Alejandro had returned to Mexico City two days earlier than expected.

And as he walked down the hallway toward the kitchen, he heard Renata say something that made his blood run cold.

What he would discover afterward through the security cameras would make the cruelty toward Camila seem like only the beginning of something far worse.
