PART 2 – The Truth Waiting in Orlando

The message stayed on my screen.
"Do not get off that plane in Orlando."
No name.
No explanation.
Just those eight words.
I looked toward first class again.
My father had returned to his seat, but his jaw was clenched so tightly I thought his teeth might crack. My mother refused to look at me. Lauren sat frozen, tears quietly rolling down her cheeks while her husband stared at the floor.
Something was terribly wrong.
When we landed, I deliberately stayed seated until almost every passenger had left.
My parents rushed off the aircraft without saying a word.
As I helped my children into the terminal, someone gently touched my shoulder.
It was the flight attendant.
"Ma'am... a passenger asked me to give this to you."
She slipped a folded envelope into my hand.
Inside was a hotel key card.
And a handwritten note.
Room 1814. Please come alone. Your children will be safe with airport security until you return. Trust me—for your father's sake.
My heart pounded.
I called my husband immediately.
Within fifteen minutes, he arrived from his business conference across town and took the children to a nearby café.
Then I went to the hotel.
Room 1814.
The door opened before I knocked.
Standing inside was a silver-haired attorney I recognized instantly.
Harold Bennett.
My late grandfather's personal lawyer.
He looked relieved to see me.
"I've been trying to reach you for months."
"What is this about?"
He stepped aside.
"Your inheritance."
I stared.
"My parents told me Grandfather left everything to the company."
Harold slowly shook his head.
May you like
"No."
"He left everything... to you."
