Chapter 2: The Stranger's Secret
Three days later, Sadie couldn't stop thinking about the man.
Then something unexpected happened.
A black SUV pulled into her family's driveway.
Two men in suits stepped out.
Her mother became nervous.
But the men smiled.

"We're looking for Sadie."
The little girl peeked from behind the front door.
One of the men handed her a small gift box.
"Mr. Jonathan Reed asked us to deliver this."
Sadie blinked.
"Who?"
"The man you helped."
Inside the box was a butterfly necklace made of silver.
Exactly like the butterfly she had been chasing that day.
There was also a handwritten note.
"Dear Sadie,"
"Most people saw me collapse. You were the only one who truly saw me."
"Because of you, I'm alive."
"Thank you."
"Your friend, Jonathan."
Her eyes filled with tears.
But the biggest surprise came next.
Jonathan Reed wasn't just any man.
He was one of the most successful business owners in the state.
News outlets had been searching for the mystery child who saved him.
Yet Sadie had never cared who he was.
To her, he was simply someone who needed help.
