He abandoned her because she gave birth to quintuplets, calling them “a burden.” Thirty years later, he returned to take what he believed was his—but his world collapsed when he discovered who the “burdens” he once threw away had become.

In 1995, he left her for a reason no one could ever forgive. 💔
That day in the hospital, when he heard the nurse say, “There are five,” his face changed completely. “Five? That’s a responsibility I can’t handle! I won’t be able to deal with this,” he shouted. Without thinking twice, he walked away, leaving her alone with five newborn babies and a shattered heart.

She did everything she could. She raised her children through every hardship without help from anyone. Meanwhile, he disappeared from their lives—not a call, not a message—convinced he had made the right choice by leaving them behind.

Thirty years later, life brought him back. He heard about an inheritance and a family business he believed rightfully belonged to him. Dressed in an expensive suit and full of confidence, he arrived ready to claim what he thought was his.

He walked into the meeting room of an imposing building. The assistant, with a cold expression, told him to wait. The doors slowly opened.

They were there. Five tall figures, striking and confident, with similar faces and undeniable authority. They watched him silently from across the large table.

His arrogant expression disappeared instantly.

One of them spoke, in a voice that felt strangely familiar.
“So you’re the man who came to claim your share. It’s been a long time, hasn’t it?”

All five of them stared at him. A cold shiver ran down his spine. Then he noticed a small mark on the chin of one of them—the same mark his ex-wife had.

At that moment, he realized who they were. His jaw dropped. His blood ran cold.

The Day the “Burden” Faced Their Father

For a long moment, no one in the room moved.

The man standing near the conference table felt as if the air had suddenly disappeared from the room. His expensive suit, which had made him feel powerful only minutes ago, now felt unbearably tight.

Five pairs of eyes stared directly at him.

Cold. Calm. Unshaken.

And somehow… familiar.

His throat went dry.

“Th-this must be some kind of mistake,” he said, forcing out an awkward laugh. “I’m here regarding the Noblewood family company. I was told I have a legal claim.”

The five figures remained seated.

Then the woman in the center slowly leaned forward, resting her hands on the table.

Her voice was steady.

“Oh, you do have a claim,” she said.

The sound of her voice sent a strange chill through him.

He had heard that tone before.

Many years ago.

In a hospital room that smelled like antiseptic and fear.

But that was impossible.

Those babies had been… babies.

Thirty years ago.

He swallowed.

“I’m glad we understand each other,” he said quickly, trying to regain his confidence. “So if we could discuss the ownership structure—”

“Ownership?” another voice interrupted.

This time it was a tall man sitting to the right.

He crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair.

“You’re here to talk about ownership?”

The corner of his mouth lifted slightly.

“That’s interesting.”

The man in the suit frowned.

“What exactly is that supposed to mean?”

Another one of them—the youngest-looking woman among the five—opened a folder slowly.

Inside were several documents.

Old documents.

Yellowed with time.

She slid one of them across the table.

The paper stopped directly in front of him.

He glanced down.

At first, he didn’t understand what he was looking at.

Then the letters began to form words in his mind.

Birth Certificate.

His name.

Her name.

Five children.

His fingers began to tremble.

“No…” he whispered.

The woman in the center watched his face carefully.

“You recognize it, don’t you?”

He shook his head quickly.

“No, this… this doesn’t prove anything. Lots of people have the same name—”

Another document slid across the table.

A photograph.

A hospital photo.

Five tiny babies wrapped in blankets.

And a woman lying in the hospital bed, exhausted but smiling.

His ex-wife.

And standing beside her…

Him.

He looked younger.

Terrified.

Angry.

The memory slammed into him like a truck.

The nurse’s voice.

“There are five babies.”

His own voice shouting.

“Five?! I can’t handle this! This is impossible!”

And then…

The door.

The sound of his footsteps leaving.

The silence he left behind.

His breathing became uneven.

“That…” he said weakly, “that was a long time ago.”

“Yes,” the woman in the center replied.

“Thirty years.”

The room fell silent again.

Then she stood up.

For the first time, he realized how tall she was.

How confident.

How powerful.

She walked slowly around the table until she stood directly in front of him.

Up close, the resemblance was undeniable.

The same eyes.

The same jawline.

But her expression was nothing like his.

Where he once showed fear, she showed strength.

“You walked away from five newborn babies,” she said quietly.

“You called us a burden.”

Her words were not angry.

They were calm.

That somehow made them hurt more.

“You left our mother alone with nothing.”

He opened his mouth, searching for excuses.

“I was young,” he said quickly. “I wasn’t ready for that responsibility. Anyone would have panicked—”

“Anyone?” another one of the five said.

This time the tallest of them stood.

He walked toward the window, looking down at the city far below.

“You didn’t just panic,” he said.

“You disappeared.”

Still facing the window, he continued.

“No birthdays.”

“No phone calls.”

“No letters.”

“Nothing.”

The man in the suit wiped sweat from his forehead.

“You don’t understand,” he said desperately.

“I had to rebuild my life.”

The youngest woman laughed softly.

“Oh, we understand perfectly.”

She leaned forward on the table.

“Because we had to rebuild ours too.”

He looked around the room again.

The office was enormous.

Glass walls.

City skyline.

Luxury furniture.

Power.

Status.

He had assumed the people running this company were powerful business leaders.

Investors.

Executives.

But now the truth was standing right in front of him.

The five babies he had abandoned…

Owned everything.

His voice cracked.

“So… you’re saying…”

The woman in the center finished the sentence for him.

“Yes.”

Her eyes locked onto his.

“We are the Noblewood board of directors.”

Another one added calmly,

“And the majority shareholders.”

The room seemed to spin.

“But that’s impossible,” he muttered.

“How could five children raised by a single mother build something like this?”

For the first time, the woman’s expression softened slightly.

“Because our mother refused to let your decision define our future.”

She walked back to her chair and sat down.

“She worked three jobs.”

“She studied at night.”

“She built the first small business from our garage.”

The tall man near the window turned back toward him.

“And when she got sick…”

The youngest woman finished the sentence quietly.

“We took over.”

The father stared at them.

The weight of thirty years pressed down on him.

Five children he had once called a burden…

Had become something far greater than he ever imagined.

But he still wasn’t ready to give up.

He straightened his suit slowly.

“Well,” he said, trying to regain his composure, “regardless of the past… legally speaking, I’m still your father.”

The room went very still.

And then…

All five of them smiled.

But it wasn’t a warm smile.

It was the kind of smile that appears right before someone delivers devastating news.

The woman in the center opened another folder.

“You’re absolutely right,” she said.

“You were our father.”

May you like

Then she turned the document around.

“And that’s exactly why we prepared for this day.”
